Stergo Mastiffs Home

Stergo Mastiffs has been breeding English Mastiffs since 2000. We live on several acres in Michigan, where our mastiffs are free to run and play. The English Mastiff has taken us on many wonderful journies through out the years. We have made many wonderful new friends and our love of the breed continues to grow. Our Goal is to continue improving on the health of the English Mastiff by starting with Healthy, Sound, AKC/ English Standard breeding stock. We do not breed for the heaviest, tallest, or biggest mastiff. We take pride in the hours spent on pedigree research. The willingness to continue learning and educating ourselves in the breed, shows in our mastiff puppies.

We believe that mastiffs should be able to run, jump and play, as well as pull carts, and work. These dogs were bred to work, and should be able to do so today, without serious injury.

All puppies are raised in a loving atmosphere with children, and other dogs. As a family, we all take part in raising and socializing mastiff puppies before they arrive at their new homes. The puppies visit my vet at least once for a complete health check, first set of vaccinations and worming. Mastiff puppies being sold as pets must be spayed/ neutered, even if they are *pick* of litter puppies. All puppies come with contracts and guarantees.

We are breeders of the true "Mastiff", sometimes referred to as the “English Mastiff” or the “Old English Mastiff”. Please do not confuse us with the "American Mastiff", which is a cross between the Mastiff and the Anatolian Shepherd. The AKC recognizes “Mastiffs” and does not recognize the American Mastiff.
